Ìmọ́lẹ̀ of Afrika Centre (ìAfrika) advances restorative healing and Collective Wellbeing of Africans

Ìmọ́lẹ̀ of Afrika Centre (ìAfrika) is a Holistic, Secular and Evidence-based Research and Praxis Institute committed to advancing restorative healing and collective wellbeing for Africans. We recognise the deep wounds inflicted by historical and contemporary injustices, systemic oppression, and fractured relationships within and across communities.

Through our work, we support individuals and communities in reclaiming their agency, strengthening their resilience, and collectively healing from intergenerational trauma and structural inequalities.

Guided by the principles of  Afro-Feminism, Ubuntu philosophy, and the Healing Justice Framework, we approach healing as both a personal and collective journey. We acknowledge that trauma is not only an individual experience but also a deeply embedded societal issue that requires innovative and holistic interventions.

Thus, we nurture inner transformation for outward impact through a fusion of ancestral wisdom and contemporary methodologies to facilitate care practices and trauma healing.

Our work embraces neo-ancient research, praxis, and strategies that honour Indigenous knowledge systems while integrating emerging approaches to healing justice.

Through collaborative partnerships, we work with young people, marginalised communities, survivors of gender-based violence, academic institutions, political and corporate sectors, and feminist movements. We provide access to holistic healing knowledge, tailored courses, experiential interventions, and transformative dialogue spaces that centre African perspectives on justice, wellbeing, and liberation.

Our holistic and multidisciplinary approach merges neuroscientific insights, conflict transformation methodologies, healing justice frameworks, and critical consciousness to reimagine and create sustainable pathways for the embodiment of inner transformation towards social change. These frameworks inform our key initiatives, which include:

Soul Advocacy, Healing Activism, Wellbeing Peace, Healing Soulidarity and Community of Practice Outreach Programmes.
